When John Hollowell & Associates was first established in Ann Arbor, we were strictly a landscape architect firm, providing only design services. Frustration with poorly built designs led us to be landscape contractors in a design/build format.

Advantages of our design/build format:

 
We understand how things are built. Our landscape
   design goal is a natural appearance, but also
   considers cost, lasting quality, and alternative
   materials/solutions.

 
Our design staff work hand-in-hand with our
   construction crew adjusting the scale and arranging
   the plants. Having qualified craftsman allows us
   freedom to design custom creations.

 
We have an extensive collection of tools and
   construction  equipment. Building our own garden
   designs ensures that the site looks like the plan.
